3 ways to create a colorful Minimalist Instagram feed

I understand the pain you get when you take nice looking photos, but they just don’t fit well together on your feed. Even when all of the photos you take are minimalist photos, they still don’t seem to fit in a colorful feed.

You then spend hours trying to find other photos that can replace the original photo that you wanted to post, or maybe you spend a lot of time editing the photo, just to find out that it doesn’t work at all.

So what exactly went wrong?

If you have a similar problem, and are interested in minimalist photos, here’s the right post for you!

In my last post, I taught you to take minimalist photos here. Today, I will be teaching you to create a colorful minimalist Instagram feed.

Let’s go!

1. Pick the colors that you want your feed to be
Most people think that only Instagram feeds that have color themes need extra awareness on the colors of their feeds. But NO! You should have an approximate idea of the colors that you want your feed to be, even for a colorful feed.

For example, if you like bright colors a lot, you should be aiming for walls that have sharp colors, like hot pink, light blue, bright yellow and all those bright colors. If you like pastel colors, then look for some softer colors, like baby pink and pale apple green.

These set up ideas of the colors of your feed and makes it easier to create a consistent feed.

2. Take photos in front of walls
If you want a consistent colored background, the easiest way you can find such a thing, is to stand in front of a wall. After identifying the colors that you want your feed to be, you can aim for the colored walls when you see them.

It could be in your room, on the streets or basically anywhere! There are plenty of colored walls and it is up to you to choose!

3. Choose your clothes carefully!
What you wear can affect the look of the photos A LOT! So you really have to put some thought into what you are wearing. It all comes back down to the colors that you want your feed to be.

Say you want your feed to have bright colors, then it would be best if you wore colorful clothes that match the colors you have in mind. If you like pastel colors, then wear lighter colored clothes.

However, there is one particular color that you could wear for ANY type of feed you have chosen.

You guessed it! It is WHITE. White basically looks good on everything so it might be something that you would want to have around you!
